Visual Storytelling is a filmmaking course for non-filmmakers that focuses on how the language of cinema, visuals and audio, can be used to help make experiences more engaging. Students will learn how to tell stories through visual media and keep the audience engaged. This is a hands on class and students will be working in teams to create short forms together.

Gary Sparks is an instrumental writer and storyteller at The Monk Studios, where he has been an important part of since 2009. He began working with The Monk as scriptwriter for The Paddle Pop TV series (Kombatei, Elemagika) and moving on to head of story (Begins, Atlantos). Gary Sparks is now the Creative Supervisor, responsible for developing the studio’s own award-winning original contents which include short format, TV series, and feature films. The Monk Studio’s work has been showcased at the world’s most renowned film festivals and has been winning awards all over the world.
